02 Data Collection
We collect no data. Lapsely has no servers, no analytics and no telemetry. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, device identifiers, advertising ID or usage statistics.
The information you enter — renewal names, issuers, expiry dates, costs, notes, tags and any document or policy numbers — is created by you, stored on your device, and never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
03 Data Usage
Your data is used only on your device, only to run the features you see: computing renewal status and the Today/Upcoming agenda, calculating insights and charts, tracking streaks and achievements, and producing exports you explicitly request.
All of these calculations happen locally. Nothing is uploaded for processing.
04 Data Sharing
We share nothing, because we hold nothing. There are no third parties, advertisers, data brokers or analytics providers involved in this app.
The only time your data leaves the app is when you choose to export or share it — for example sending a JSON or CSV backup to another app via the Android share sheet. You choose the destination; we are not involved in it.
05 Data Security
Your renewals and their history are stored in a local Hive database inside the app's private storage area, which other apps cannot read.
Sensitive values you place in the document vault — document numbers, policy references and secure notes — are held in a separate Hive box encrypted with AES-256 (HiveAesCipher). Its encryption key, and your app settings, are stored using flutter_secure_storage, backed by the Android Keystore.
Vault values are masked in the interface until you explicitly tap Reveal.
06 Data Retention
Your data remains on your device until you remove it. You can delete individual items at any time, or erase everything at once with Settings → Clear all data. Uninstalling Lapsely removes all of its data from your device.
Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side.
07 No User Accounts
Lapsely has no sign-up, no sign-in, no password and no profile. You do not identify yourself to use any feature of the app, and there is no account for us to associate data with.
08 Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Lapsely is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, because the app collects no personal information at all.
As no data is gathered, there is nothing to review or delete on request under COPPA.
09 User Rights
You retain complete control of your information at all times:
- Access & portability — export everything as JSON or CSV from Settings.
- Rectification — edit any renewal, cost, date or note directly in the app.
- Erasure — delete individual items, use Settings → Clear all data, or uninstall the app.
These rights are exercised entirely within the app; no request to us is required or possible.
10 No Third-Party Services
Lapsely integrates no third-party SDKs. There is no Firebase, no Google Analytics, no crash-reporting service, no advertising network and no social login. The app functions fully with no network connection.
11 Permissions
Lapsely requests exactly one Android permission:
It is used for a single purpose: loading this privacy policy page inside the app's Settings screen. No app data is ever sent over that connection. Lapsely requests no camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage or notification permissions.
12 Google Play Data Safety
Our Play Console Data Safety declaration states "No data collected" and "No data shared with third parties." This is accurate and complete: insights, gamification, search and export all run on-device, so no category of data is gathered, transmitted or shared.

Lapsely is designed to comply with the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA and Google Play's User Data policy. Compliance is straightforward here: these frameworks govern the collection, processing and sale of personal data, and Lapsely performs none of those activities.
We do not sell or share personal information, because we never receive any. The app is published under an organization Google Play developer account.
